Shelby Flyer 3 Speed Middleweight
This bike requires some background information. In 1954, CWC and AMF made a deal and merged their companies. The pride of CWC was always both Roadmaster and Shelby Flyer. As many of you may know, Shelby Flyer bicycles were always made in Shelby, Ohio. This Shelby was built in the 18 months following the merger. They did not build many of these bikes in Cleveland. The Shelby's Roadmaster counterpart was the Flying Falcon and both bikes were introduced to compete with the Schwinn Jaguar, but were ultimately unsuccessful. This bike is mostly original, however, it has a new 3 speed trigger and cable, I had to replace the seat and it has a set of Western Flyer Wald bow pedals on it in lieu of its Wald jeweled bow pedals. The only other addition was the Wald universal fit chainguard. It rides and shifts. It has a 3 speed coaster Sturmey on it.
